Meet our flagship project - first PLA production facility in the UAE, developed through our subsidiary
PLA is biopolymer that is made from plants. It’s been in the market for 15 years - so it has developed unique performance characteristics for different kinds of applications.
The plant is strategically located between Abu Dhabi and Dubai with world-class infrastructure (our industrial hub is 135,000 sqm). It is first of a kind in the MENA region and will create around 300 manufacturing jobs.
We already built up an executive team, commercial team and technology team (with +50 years of experience in bioplastics), selected a world-class technology provider and globally recognized EPC contractor.
PLA is a biopolymer which is made from plants (that absorb CO2 from the atmosphere, resulting in a reduced carbon footprint)
PLA is recyclable, compostable and biodegradable (leaves no microplastics in the natural environment)
PLA is innovative and can be converted into a wide range of products (appliances, packaging, food service ware, 3D printing, fibers and non-woven).
